Today I made my first loaf of onion rye bread. Now I am a bread machine user but I don't use boxed breads. An onion rye bread:
- 1 cup, 3 tablespoons, 1 teaspoon: Water
- 2 tablespoons: butter
- ~ 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ chopped medium onion
- ~ 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ~ 1½ cups rye flour
- 2 cups unbleached bread flour
- 2 teaspoons yeast
The next project I worked on today was a very old crochet project that I never could get to block correctly to finish it. Today I spent over four hours pinning it to an old sketcher box and piping insulation. With Lots and lots of starch. Now I have to wait for it to dry, which should be by morning. Then go to Michaels (YEAH) and buy some porcelain glaze give it two coats. This project has always been for my mother. I am hoping to get it finish before Thanksgiving so that she can have it out for the Christmas holiday. Here is a current picture of it in the living room floor (it can not be moved because the pins went into the carpet).
